When I got the table, it was not the same quality as my Smith & Hawkin table, although this one cost about the same. I decided to go ahead and oil it with lemon oil, hoping this would cause it to blend in with my other table. It turned dark and had an unsightly, mottled appearance when oiled. It also had dark discolorations on the solid wood end piece. A very big disappointment for such a high price. Now we have another place to set packages when we get to the landing. I also have a bench to sit on when I have my evening pipe outdoors. |
